Historically this site has nothing to do with Ned Kelly. For the sake of accuracy, it was the town's original gold vault, and then converted into the local police station, until the 1990s. That history is now entirely lost on this site, as it has been converted into yet another shrine to Ned Kelly filled with replicas and artefacts with tenuous connections to the man.Another example of not allowing historical accuracy stand in the way of a bucket of grant money?
